Predictably, NAMI was unable to finish the game by himself in time. Development even dating back to the days of Gunstar Heroes, NAMI was dedicated to the point that he spent many free days working on the game (mostly by himself!), and in his own words, adored Alien Soldier like "a daughter". The very story behind the game is confusing and fascinating in itself, the pet project of Treasure employee Hideyuki Suganami, or NAMI, born from his desire to create what the perfect game would be in his own eyes.
